Springfield M1884 cadet .45-70 trapdoor rifle. Serial number 362381. Deeply sunken 1886 cartouche opposite lock. Very fine case colored 1873 dated breech block. Other metal parts have very fine original blue finish overall. Stock shows scattered handling marks, particularly on the forearm where it may have been rested while being fired. Buttstock shows some handling bruises, in particular four small deep dings that were filled. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
