C1840-60 percussion curly maple fullstock longrifle. 38-3/4" octagon barrel. Nicely shaped patchbox. Metal parts are a mix of patina and surfaces that were cleaned at some point. Nicely grained stock has an added finish overall, crack by sideplate, crack near muzzle on right side of forearm with a minor chip. Left side of forearm has extensive losses to the forearm edge and a piece of wood was replaced in the toe long ago, showing good wear, and a small piece of the toe plate missing. Forearm cap is absent, ramrod is a replacement, and the nipple is a replacement. Hammer cocks properly at full cock, but does not have half cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
