Harpers Ferry M1803 flintlock US rifle, dated 1819 on lock. 36" part round, part octagon barrel. Beautifully marked lock and proofed barrel, stock cartouches opposite lock are visible. Iconic and beautiful brass-mounted halfstock federal rifle of the period. Attractive reconversion to flintlock using quality reproduction parts. Iron parts are mostly a medium brown patina with minimal scattered pitting. Brass parts were cleaned at some point to a light yellow. Stock is fair, having been broken and repaired in the lock/sideplate area and repaired, has some light added finish. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
