Ballard patent external extractor rifle by Ball & Williams. Serial number 159. 24" octagon barrel. 44 caliber. Metal surfaces have some original finish present, mixing with light surface rust and light pitting, along with some hammer dings. Sling swivel studs are present, swivels are absent. Hammer is broken off inside the breech block. Stocks are good with much of the original finish but with numerous handling dings and scratches. Exact mechanical condition is unknown, trigger feels frozen, lever opens block. Nice restoration project. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
