Scarce Whitney "Walking Beam" percussion pocket revolver. Serial number K50. Good marking on top of frame, patent marking on side of frame a little weak. Metal parts are a medium gray color overall with scattered light pitting. Wood grips show even wear and use with a filled chip on the right side and chip out of the corner on the left. An unusual action meant to circumvent the Colt patent where you first cock the hammer, then work the ring trigger forward and back to revolve the cylinder, pulling the trigger back the rest of the way to fire. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
