Blunt & Syms ring trigger medium size percussion pepperbox. Serial number 45 on front of barrel cluster and screw, along with often observed "R-C" marking, not maker marked, as usual. 3" ribbed barrel cluster, 6 shots of .31 caliber. Barrel has excellent bright original blue finish, frame has sharp engraving and shows little use, but most of the blue has flaked away to light patina with some patches of blue remaining. Wood grips are very fine with nearly all of the original varnish, showing minor handling marks, free of cracks and chips. Appears to be mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
