Large Continental percussion boxlock pistol with belt hook. 6" round barrel with fancy breech and muzzle, .45 caliber bore, about 11" overall. No markings apparent. Metal parts have a salt-and-pepper appearance with scattered light pitting. Screw heads show a good deal of use. Wood grip is very good, showing average wear and use with minor handling marks, free of cracks and chips. Mainspring is very strong and sear spring isn't strong enough to hold hammer at cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
