French Mle 1837 Naval percussion pistol. Model marked on barrel tang, Chatellerault arsenal marking on lock, anchor and "M" on buttcap, proof marks on various metal parts. Metal parts have been lightly cleaned to a light coloration overall and virtually free of pitting. Good captive ramrod and belt hook. Stock shows light wear and use overall with minor handling marks, free of cracks with just a couple little nicks in the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
