French M1837 Naval Marine percussion belt pistol. 6" barrel, about 12" overall, about .61 caliber. Maker marked Chatellerault, Mle 1837 marked on barrel tang, Metal parts are cleaned with scattered minor pitting. Stock shows average wear and use with scattered minor marks, and some minor slivers from the lock mortise edges. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
