Colt M1862 Police 4-1/2" barrel model revolver. Serial number 30194 matching on butt, triggerguard, frame, and barrel. Wedge and several screws are modern replacements. Metal parts are worn with a medium to dark gray patina overall, still showing visible barrel address and other legends. Walnut grip is well-worn with worn corner nicks, and evidence on the butt of having been used improperly as a hammer. Action functions when tipped upward but not downward, due to wear over the years. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
