Italian made French M1842 style percussion musket. Barrel shortened to 34-3/4" long, stock shortened to just in front of lower barrel band with sporter sling swivels added during the period. Metal parts have an evenly rusted, untouched appearance with maker marking on lock cleaned "CA PA FABR SOCIALE BRESCIA". Stock has a period black painted finish and is free of cracks and chips with scattered marks from use. Hammer screw is broken off in the tumbler. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
