Absolutely massive double barrel percussion shotgun. Signed on barrel "F.HAMMERLE/HAMILTON O." Frank Hammerle is listed as having lived from 1838 and operated from 1863-1896 making percussion 1/2 stocks. 43-3/8" barrels of about 0.69" bores. Weight 16 pounds. Trade locks marked "TRUITT BROS WARRANTED" Metal parts are an untouched patina. Hammers are a mismatch. Stock shows average wear and use with minor dings and scratches, has some slivering to the forearm edge in front of the left lock. Original ramrod is missing its loading tip. Mechanically good except left lock seems to release from half cock, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
