Swiss M1878 Vetterli rifle for parts or restoration. Serial number 172744. Missing upper barrel band, rear sight, lower sling swivel with plate, part of the bolt, and a couple screws. Metal parts have a dark patina with some added oil finish. Stocks have been lightly sanded to smooth surfaces with a few scattered handling marks and light bruises. Spring can still be felt in the bolt and cartridge elevator. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
