Swiss M1863/67 Milbank-Amsler trapdoor-type infantry rifle. 36" round barrel with octagonal breech section, about 10.3mm bore. Numbered 2130 on barrel and stock flat, additionally numbered 1610 in stock flat, 5268 on barrel, and deeply cartouched in several places. "W.SAUERBREY" maker mark and "W.SAUERBREY IN BASEL" conversion mark in breech block. Metal parts are untouched with a dark patina overall. Extractor is absent. Wood is also untouched with scattered handling marks and one deeper mark in the left side of the belly of the butt. Has an interesting embossed metal seal on twine with lettering and a Swiss cross. Mechanically good except the missing extractor, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
