M1898 Springfield-Krag rifle. Serial number 221162. Metal parts have fine original blue finish overall, mixing with some patina, and some light rust on the buttplate. Has a 3-piece cleaning rod housed under the buttplate trap. Equipped with a Lyman 57K receiver peep sight and hand guard that is not cut out for a barrel sight. Stock has some attractive striped grain, has some added finish, free of cracks and chips, showing some minor marks from handling and storage. Ships to FFL or C&R license holder. Appears to be mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
