Remington rolling block rifle, transformed from Civil War musket. Two-line Remington patent marking on frame tang. 39" barrel of .58 caliber with 3-band forearm. Metal parts have an honest patina overall except buttplate cleaned showing light pitting. Shows little use with strong tang marking. Stocks are very good showing some smooth wear and open grain character. Has a couple minuscule nicks by the frame on the right side of the wrist, some tiny nicks in the cleaning rod channel, and a few scattered scratches throughout. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
