Small C1860 percussion halfstock muzzleloading rifle. 31" octagon barrel of medium bore size. Signed on barrel "C D" in script with other flourishes. Barrel has original open sights with line embellishment to barrel. No other markings. Metal parts have a medium patina overall with a little pitting in the bolster area. One screw missing from triggerguard. Stock has a light added finish with an attractive appearance overall, having an old repaired chip at front of lock. Mechanically good except does not have half cock, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
