Massive flintlock dog lock pistol. 7" octagon barrel of 1-5/16" width and .66 caliber bore. Interesting hallmarks on two flats of the barrel. Early three screw banana-shaped dog lock. Simple handmade barrel band and triggerguard. Metal parts are a dark rust patina overall. Stock has several cracks in front of the lock and some slivers missing from the edge in front of the barrel band. This pistol is weighted toward the front as one would imagine. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
