C1770 American assembled musket of Dutch-Germanic parts. 41-3/16" barrel of about .69 caliber bore. Equipped with two large double strapped brass bands. Unit marked on buttplate tang. Buttplate is well-worn with a crack by one of the attaching screws. Brass parts were cleaned at some point, iron parts have a dark patina with some expected pitting in the flash hole area. Stock appears to be of chestnut, has an unusual profile to the butt, shows average wear and use overall with a small chip at front of lock, crack by rear lock screw, and a sliver from the right forearm edge. Nice antique wooden ramrod. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
