Prussian M1809 "Potsdam" Civil War import percussion musket, shortened. Dated 1838 on buttplate and 1839 on barrel. 36" shortened barrel with stock shortened to lower barrel band. Untouched patina overall with brass parts darker than the iron, which has some pitting as expected in the barrel breech area. Nipple is absent, threads are rusted but visible. Stock shows evidence of having been cleaned at some point, shows some chipping around the barrel tang and a small chip by the buttplate on the left side. Hammer has strong spring tension but does not cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
