M1808 L.Pomeroy, as marked on lock, New York State contract musket, converted to percussion. Flayderman 9A-164. Inspection marks, 1810 date, and "SNY" property marking on barrel breech. Round stock cartouche is evident opposite the lock, but is concealed under a thick patina. Metal parts are untouched and uncleaned with some expected pitting in the nipple area. Sling swivels are absent. Nice matching blacksmith-made ramrod. Stock has an equal age patina and uncleaned appearance, some worn slivering to the ramrod channel, a long sliver missing from forearm edge on right side, some other minor worn chipping to the forearm edges, and various marks from handling and use. Trigger seems to release the hammer from half cock, full cock operates as expected. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
