Chicago Arms Co, as marked on locks, heavy double barrel shotgun. Serial number 16409. Marked on barrel rib "CHICAGO ARMS CO EXTRA QUALITY DAMASCUS STEEL". British proofed on water table and bottom of barrels. 32" barrels, 10 gauge. Metal parts are nicely engraved, frame shows much of the original color casehardening and barrels have excellent damascus finish. Horn buttplate and pistol grip cap. Forearm tip insert replaced long ago. Stock was broken and glued in the area of the frame tang and locks, otherwise shows average wear and use to the checkering, along with numerous minor handling marks and an uncleaned appearance. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
