C1850 Southern States style Kentucky rifle with Golcher marked lock

Southern states style percussion halfstock rifle. Marked on lock "Golcher", otherwise unmarked. 40-1/2" octagon barrel of about .42 caliber. Has distinctive southern features of long barrel tang and iron furniture, including a sheet iron trigger guard bow that is riveted to the rear portion of the trggerguard. Hammer has a nice old brazed repair. Stock is a little awkward but skillfully crafted. Stock is evenly worn with a couple minor cracks. Mechanics are a little unreliable, the hammer sometimes not releasing properly.
