Interesting vintage 1970s Sears percussion muzzleloading rifle. 34-1/2" octagon barrel. Marked on right side of barrel "KENTUCKY RIFLE MODEL 292.51766/.45 CAL. Black Powder Only" and on left side "SEARS ROEBUCK AND CO. CHICAGO, IL/Made in Japan, Miroku 7659". Engraved, gold accented lock. Brass parts with medium to dark patina. Barrel has a natural rust patina. Stock is designed in two pieces with a "Lehigh Valley slope" style butt and nicely shaped patchbox. Has a scratch in the left side of the forearm and a diagonal crack in the right side of the forearm directly forward of the separator. Appears mechanically good, but very heavy trigger pull. We are not gunsmiths and do not warrant this gun to shoot safely. Please seek guidance from an expert in blackpowder gunsmithing if unsure about the safety and management of this rifle.
