Dutch M1871/78 Beaumont rifle. Serial number 267. Barrel shortened to 25" long with added front sight, stock shortened to just in front of lower band spring. Metal parts have a brown patina overall with some pitting on the buttplate. Stock is good, having been sanded and refinished, probably when it was shortened, showing scattered marks from use and a sliver missing associated with a crack in the forearm edge on left side in front of the barrel band. Appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
