"J.P.SAUER & SOHN SUHL", as marked on barrel, fine bolt action single shot sporting rifle. British proofed on barrel behind name and on bolt. 27" octagon barrel of about .36 caliber bore, exact chambering unknown. Blued barrel, nicely engraved frame, bolt, and other furniture. Fine patina throughout. Equipped with dovetail for front sight, rail for rear sight, and provision for tang rear sight, all absent. Fancy schutzen butt stock with large cheek piece, wood has been lightly cleaned with nice checkering on the wrist. Has a crack by the barrel key inlet. Trigger set, barrel key and escutcheons are absent. Mechanical condition unknown due to missing triggers. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
