unmarked Allen bar hammer single shot percussion pistol. Serial number 695. Marked on the side of the hammer with the Allen patent date of 1845, but no Allen marking. 2" barrel of about .32 caliber bore, about 5" overall. Metal parts have standard engraving with attractive medium patina overall, a little minor pitting, and some light tool marks to the frame. Antique ivory grips show a few expected age checks and numerous minor dings from handling. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
