Allen & Thurber, as marked on barrel flat, automatic action bar hammer single shot percussion pistol. Also marked "ALLENS PATENT" on side of hammer and serial numbered 699. 3" part-octagon, part-round barrel of about .36 caliber. Metal parts have a medium to dark patina overall with scattered old rust specks and minimal scattered pitting. Wood grips are good, showing average wear and use with minor handling marks and a few little "flea bites" on the edges, free of cracks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
