US M1842 H.Aston percussion contract pistol dated 1849. Metal parts have been cleaned with light pitting overall. Part of flash shield on hammer nose is chipped off. Stock was cracked and thinned in the grip and has a coat of varnished finish applied. Tip of forearm has been slightly shortened. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
