Whitneyville short cylinder 22 caliber spur trigger revolver. Serial number 7771. 3-1/4" octagon barrel marked "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT.U.S.A". Brass frame has thinned silver finish with a pleasing light yellow brass appearance, barrel and cylinder have traces of original blue with an even brown patina. Mother of pearl grips are fine and smooth, being free of cracks and chips. Mechanically good except cylinder stop doesn't reengage cylinder when cocked, may only be obstructed by old grease. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
