Springfield M1795 Type III percussion conversion musket dated 1810 on lock and buttplate. Nicely marked lock, barrel proofs, and buttplate. Metal parts show average wear and use with some expected pitting in the barrel breech area, with a light to medium gray patina overall. Stock shows expected wear from use with some minor age checking, a worn spot in right side of butt where initials were, a small crack front and rear of lock, crack opposite lock by sideplate, small piece of wood replaced behind barrel tang, and some worn slivers in forearm edge. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
