Remington Maynard conversion percussion musket. Dated 1857 at back of lock. Faint cartouche opposite lock. Metal parts have a dark brown patina overall with some pitting in the barrel breech area. Stock has an honest well worn appearance with a chip in the lock mortise, stress crack below side plate, small crack by lock screw, and a forearm crack by the middle band spring, as well as average marks associated with use. Mechanically good, including Maynard primer parts. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
