C1820-40 percussion militia musket. Barrel appears unmarked, trade lock has an unreadable marking. 42" round barrel of about .69 caliber. Steel parts have dark patina overall with overall light to moderate pitting on the barrel. Has large german silver eagle inlay in right side of butt, similar to engraved presentation muskets. Also has nice clipped corner rectangle stock pin escutcheons, all of which are present, and a rectangular wrist inlay which is absent. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
