Imported Continental percussion musket. 38" barrel equipped with bayonet stud. About .75 caliber bore. Halfstock configuration for sporting use. No markings apparent. Metal parts have an untouched patina overall with some pitting in barrel breech section. Barrel is held to stock with very old black fiber-reinforced tape. Buttstock has old nails around the perimeter of the rear from where a homemade recoil pad was installed at the time. Stock shows an old finish, some lateral cracks, and a hole through to the ramrod channel behind the ramrod ferule. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
