Presentation style militia musket. Nicely engraved triggerguard, buttplate, and barrel with engraved maker "J.P.Moore" on top. Engraved in 4 areas sown the length of the barrel. Engraved german silver sideplate and eagle plaque in buttplate. 40-1/2" barrel. Metal parts have a medium patina with a little pitting in the bolster area. Stock is checkered in the wrist and shows moderate wear throughout with a repaired break in the wrist and a long, narrow replaced piece of wood on the right side of the forearm. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
