Confederate associated P1853 Enfield musket for restoration. Includes full length barrel with rifled bore, triggerguard, and stock shortened to middle band with crown over letting mark behind the triggerguard associated with Confederate imports. Also marked with "BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS TRADE" cartouche in right side of butt. Barrel has dark patina overall with scattered pitting. Rear sight absent. Stock has good edges and possibly some finish added long ago, shows various handling marks and some old cracks near the buttplate that has nails added long ago, and a couple slivers missing. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
