Untouched percussion longfowler. 48" barrel of 0.66" bore. Barrel is British proofed in the octagon portion, with two sets of "wedding band" separators to round portions. Marked on lock "WILKES/WARRANTED". Metal parts have a dark untouched patina overall with some pitting in the barrel breech. Stock has an untouched crazed oil finish surfaces with smooth wood peeking through where it was handled. Butt has a somewhat "Roman nose" quality of earlier guns, with a flat bottom to the butt. Wood is in sound condition with a couple cracks in front and rear of the lock, and some lateral cracks to the forearm edge, and a little wood missing near the tip. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
