French Mle 1829 musketoon dated 1860 on barrel breech. Maubeuge marked lock. 23-1/2" round barrel rifle rifled bore of .69 caliber. Barrel muzzle equipped with lug for sabre bayonet. Metal parts have a smooth attractive patina with some light expected pitting in the barrel breech. Stock has an old oil finish patina with minor scattered handling marks, free of cracks, with a few minor edge nicks. Ramrod is absent. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
