Fine English percussion conversion shotgun by Mabson & Labron, as marked in gold cartouches on locks and barrel breeches. 32" barrels. Made in Birmingham circa 1820-1835. Nicely engraved metal parts with platinum or silver bands at breeches. Metal parts have a medium patina overall. Barrel rib is slightly lifted at breech end. Stock is good, having an untouched age patina, checkered in the wrist, showing expected handling marks and shallow bruises, a couple little chips to the forearm edges, and a small crack above the right lock. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
