Bavarian zimmerstutzen parlor rifle. Bore of about 5mm, about 8" rifled section at muzzle of barrel, rearward it is loaded with a striking rod passing through the rest of the barrel, which is 27-1/4" overall. The ignition is a hollow tube with a constriction to a smaller hole, appears to have accepted a fulminate pellet for ignition. Signed on barrel flats "F.X.OBERBICHLER" and "NEUOTTING.INN". Original blue finish mixing with brown patina and light untouched surface rust, with color casehardening on the action parts near the muzzle. Adjustable tang sight and shrouded front sight. Buttstock has number 4563 and 67 in a circle neatly stamped, with numeral 15 on tip of forearm. Wood is fine overall, checkered in wrist and having a large prominent cheek rest, there are a few minor marks in the stock and one light lateral crack with the grain on the right side of the forearm. Appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
