Winchester Model 92 lever action saddle ring carbine. Serial number 933556, made in 1924. 20" barrel, 25-20 W.C.F. caliber. Good to fine bore. Metal parts show fine original blue on the barrel turning to plumb, other metal parts showing a medium to dark brown patina mixing with original blue finish. Patina on left side of receiver shows honest wear from the saddle ring over the years. Has flip-up rear ladder sight, knurled pattern hammer, steel saddle ring with two post mounting loop on left side of receiver, steel butt plate. Wood stock and forearm show light average handling with a few shallow dents and scratches, having a light added finish and one deeper old scratch to left side of forearm from barrel band removal. Comes with a Cody Museum search form confirming features. Ships to FFL dealer or C&R license holder where eligible. Appears to be mechanically functional. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot. Before considering using this arm, we recommend inspection by a professional gunsmith.
