C1840-60 percussion halfstock heavy target rifle. 34" octagon barrel of 1-1/4" weight and .40 caliber bore. Beautifully inlaid curly maple stock featuring an engraved eagle on each side of the butt. Wood is free of damage aside from expected handling marks and two negligible cracks, one above the lock and one just rear of the forearm cap on right side. Metal parts have an untouched patina overall, with light rust on the barrel and lock. Has a tang sight piece, rear and front barrel sights are absent. Mechanically good with set triggers, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
