Unusual center hammer boxlock action halfstock percussion rifle. 34-1/2" octagon barrel of about .40 caliber bore. Metal parts have a light to medium patina overall. Stock features a nice openwork patchbox, heart inlays on either side of the hammer, and 8-pointed star inlay in cheekrest. Stock is good, appears to have been lightly refinished, has an old narrow piece missing from left side of forearm. Nice original ochre striped ramrod. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
