Harpers Ferry M1803 flintlock rifle. Dated 1818 on lock. Barrel shortened to 33-1/4" long, bored smooth to about 0.56". Lock reconverted to flint with reproduction parts. Metal parts show some light pitting and a dark patina that is lighter on the brass. Stock is good, showing average wear and use overall, having a small crack by the rear lock screw, a chip missing from the edge of the right side of the forearm tip and a chip on left side by barrel key. Brass reinforcing strip absent from near tip of forearm. Half cock is functional but doesn't cock fully. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
