C1750-70 American built flintlock holster pistol made with French lock and barrel. 9-1/2" part octagon, part round barrel of about .72 caliber bore, about 17" overall. Lock is French proofed and maker marked GIRARD. Brass parts have a medium patina, iron parts have a dark uncleaned patina. Buttcap has a slot in it for a decorative plate to cover the screw, which is missing. Stock is very good, showing light wear and use overall, has a small hairline at rear of ramrod ferule and in left forearm edge. Ramrod is a replacement. Action shows wear but still cocks and holds. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
