Scarce New Jersey conversion M1836 R.Johnson pistol, dated 1837. "NJ" marked on barrel and cartouched opposite lock with bold original cartouches. Metal parts have a medium to dark patina, showing scattered light cleaning. Stock is fine, free of cracks and chips, showing little to no use, but with scattered scratches from where adjacent metal was cleaned. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
