C1720-1750 Dutch-Germanic long flintlock pistol for restoration. Missing part of forearm and triggerguard. 13-1/2" barrel with flared muzzle about 0.68" diameter, about 20-1/2" overall. Detailed engraving on lockplate, wrist escutcheon with grotesque mask and crest of fox running with three stars above it, sculpted and cutout sideplate with heads of dragons opposing each other, and nicely sculpted barrel. Gun overall shows average wear and use overall with light patina overall. Stock is nicely grained and border carved, having a little chipping in the lock mortise and a couple light cracks in the grip, forearm is absent from just in front of the ramrod ferule forward. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
