Unwin Rodgers cartridge knife-pistol. Marked on each of two knife blades "NON XLL/UNWIN/RODGERS/PATENT" and British proofed on barrel. 3-1/2" German silver barrel of about 6.6mm bore. Other mountings are also German silver, has a cartridge box with hinged lid on the grip backstrap, and butt shows some dings from improper use as a hammer. Knife blades are 3-1/2" long with one dagger profile and one clip point, both have a salt-and-pepper coloration with some evidence of sharpening and cleaning. Checkered horn side slabs are very good, showing light scratches from carrying. Breech extractor is absent. Hammer has spring tension but does not cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
