Bacon Arms Company or Hopkins & Allen "Dictator" style cartridge conversion of percussion pocket revolver. Numbers visible 847 on barrel and 850 on butt. 4" round barrel of .38 caliber bore. No maker markings apparentl. Roll engraved cylinder has oval vignettes that are somewhat hard to discern. Metal parts are lightly cleaned with lightly speckled surfaces overall. Grips show wear from use, crack on the right side with filled chip to leading edge on right side, repaired crack on leading edge of left grip, as well as some nicks to the butt edges. Hammer rimfire striker is absent. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
