American stocked percussion conversion musket utilizing US surcharged British lock and British proofed barrel. Stock has a distinct "perch belly" without being dramatic enough to follow "club butt" lines. 39" round barrel. Iron parts have a dark patina, brass parts were cleaned. Well-marked lock. Stock is refinished and may have had wrist repair, which is well disguised, has a repaired break midway in the forearm, along with a worn sliver in the edge of the forearm. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
